Spanking and Paddling: Technique, Physiology and Fun!

Does that classic spanking line, "This hurts me more than it does you", *have* to be true? Is the sweet spot people talk about metaphor or anatomy? Is OTK (over-the-knee) spanking still feasible if the bottom is bigger than the Top?

Spanking is an extremely versatile skill, fitting well in scene contexts from domestic petticoat discipline to sensual slap and tickle to heavy impact play. Spankings can range from the chaste to the salacious to the actively sexual. Spanking can be one of the most intimate and nurturing forms of play, and yet can be done anywhere, even without elaborate tools, toys, equipment or preparation.

This class will cover the physiology of spanking response and spanking anatomy in reference to the Top as well as the bottom. Depending on the ritual that surrounds it, spanking can be used as an effective and erotic warm-up or as a profoundly transformative atonement ritual. The class will cover how to choose spanking positions for ease as well as effect (and effectiveness), how to pace a spanking, and ways to avoid marks, or to leave intentional mementos of the experience. Mistress Tatiana will go over spanking techniques and safety, multiple-partner spankings, and the use of bare or gloved hands, of paddles of various materials and of some of the other classic tools of the spanker, including slippers, spatulas, wooden spoons and coat hangers.

… And yes, you can look forward to her signature informative, entertaining demos with male and female demo models! This class is open to all genders, and is appropriate for people who spank and or get spanked regularly, those who have never tried it, and everyone in between!

Students will have a chance to get spanked and to spank under her expert guidance. Please wear comfortable clothing and, if you are willing to get spanked on your bare bottom, appropriate underwear that will allow access to your butt cheeks while keeping your genitalia covered.

About the Presenter

Mistress Tatiana Belodyne is a lifestyle dominant with over a dozen years of experience as a professional Domme at Fantasy Makers. She is one of the Headmistresses of the FantasyMakers Academy, is a certified CPR Instructor, and is a community college teaching assistant in Anatomy and Physiology. She is a popular educator, presenting locally and across the country on subjects as diverse as Anal Play, Medical Scenes, Infantilism, Strap-On Play, Anatomy for BDSM, and Breast Bondage. She is renowned both for her accessible, entertaining style in presenting technically accurate, safety-conscious material and for her hot demos. Beginning Dungeon Monitors Course

There is no first aid/cpr class connected with this one. We do, however, recommend that all of our members have first aid/cpr certification.

One of the benefits of taking this course, and becoming part of the DMA, is that it is recognized by a majority of the locally organized SM/Leather/Fetish community groups as qualified DM training. Organizations such as SM Odyssey, Byzantine Bazaar, and many others. In addition, many nationally known SM/Leather/Fetish organizations are also accepting the DMA's training as acceptable Dungeon Monitors training for their events.

Upon satisfactory completion of this "Beginners Dungeon Monitors Training Course" you will have the opportunity to join the Dungeon Monitors Association E-list. This list is dedicated to allowing party hosts who are in need of qualified DM's to request your assistance. It is also dedicated to allowing DM's to communicate with each other regarding DM issues/questions/concerns and facilitate a sharing of our collective knowledge.

To attend the "Beginning Dungeon Monitor Training Course" we recommend you have the following experience, training and abilities:

A minimum of one year of active involvement in the local SM/Leather/Fetish community.
Attended a minimum of 20 public/semi-public SM/Leather/Fetish Play parties (Dungeon Play parties) where DM's are on staff.
A basic understanding of common play techniques
A strong desire to continue education about different play styles beyond personal areas of interest.
Be able to act in an emergency situation where physical activity and mental/emotional stability are essential.

If you do not have the knowledge and experience suggested, you will still be allowed to take the course and test, but we do warn you that some questions on the test will be general BDSM knowledge as well as information we cover in class. We are not saying this to scare you, but to explain why we suggest these prerequisites.
