All classes are on Sunday at FantasyMakers in El Cerrito from 2pm-5pm unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 1:30 pm. Reservations are necessary. Caress of Steel: Knifeplay 101
with: PantherProwLs and Embers

Does the feeling of cold sharp steel running over your skin excite you? Do you feel powerful as you run a sharp blade over your bound and helpless submissive?

"Caress of Steel" aka Knifeplay 101 is a class designed to acquaint the participants with the uses of knives and similar blades in erotic BDSM play. It is meant not only for the novice but for the more experienced player as well. Due to the inherent risks involved with sharp blades, safety is emphasized at all times. Topics covered include but are not limited to: Basic knife components and nomenclature, Blade design and composition, Proper care and cleaning of blades, Safe handling of blades both in and out of scene, Combining knifeplay with other types of play, and How to mitigate or minimize risks associated with knifeplay.

Following these discussions, techniques are introduced which allow the participants to utilize knives in their scenes. Various uses of sight and sound as well as contact sensation are demonstrated.

About the Presenters

PantherProwLs and Embers (aka PanthersPrey) are a 24/7 M/s couple living in the San Francisco Bay area. Together since 2001, they have been active playing, and teaching for groups and events such as Society of Janus, SMOdyssey, Citadel, Edges, Lair de Sade, Leather Leadership Conference, NLA-OKC’s Tribal Fire, DFW_ALT among others, on a variety of S&M skill sets and Ds/Ms topics.

Remedial Ropes Roundabout
with: Stefanos and Chey

This class covers all of the following:

Remedial Ropes: Riding the bondage short bus
This is the perfect class for you if your bondage skills begin and end with tying your shoes. We will cover the basics of bondage safety, building a rope kit, teach five basic knots and two basic ties, and discuss how to apply these to create a rope bondage scene. This is an interactive class- everyone will get tied up and everyone will learn to do the ties. Disclaimer: If you’ve been doing self-suspension from the age of 5 and taken every class the Knotty Boys and Midori ever taught, you will probably be bored!

Remedial Ropes, Rt. II: Another trip on the bondage short bus with Stefanos and Chey
This is the perfect class for you if your bondage skills begin and end with tying your shoes. We will briefly cover the basics of bondage safety, building a rope kit, and creating a rope bondage scene. We will then teach a 5-second cuff, the figure 8 knot, a basic body harness, arm gauntlets, and the best arm binder we’ve ever seen. This is an interactive class- everyone will get tied up and everyone will learn to do the ties.

Remedial Ropes, Rt. III: Bedroom Transformations Another trip on the bondage short bus with Stefanos and Chey
Remedial Ropes includes sections on basic safety and simple knots to create bondage anywhere. Route III adds ties for discrete and immediate uses in the bedroom including lacing your bed with tie points and moment's notice ties for 1 to 4 point restraints.

These are interactive classes- everyone will get tied up and everyone will learn to do the ties.
All Remedial Ropes Classes are stand alone and do not require any previous rope experience.
We provide Rope if needed and you do not need a partner to enjoy our classes.
If you wanted to bring rope, you could bring two 15 foot pieces and one 35 foot piece.
We use nylon rope although any rope 1/2 or thinner will work in our classes.

About the Presenters

Stefanos and Chey have been doing rope bondage for a little while; they first learned bondage at Shibaricon 2005. They went to Shibaricon with mad shoelace tying skills, and sure wish they’d known the stuff they’ll teach in this class before going to a big bondage conference! Stefanos has been in the BDSM scene for a decade and got a knot-tying badge in the Boyscouts; Chey has been doing BDSM for 5 years and is an emergency room nurse.
